Thanks, Mikael. That works nicely. Note: I changed

\definefallbackfamily [mainface] [mm] [Brill] [preset=math:
lowercasegreeknormal]

to

\definefallbackfamily [mainface] [mm] [Brill]
[preset=math:uppercasegreeknormal],
since Knuth/TeX sets Greek capital letters upright.
