Hello all together,

as I am a bit irritated of the limitations of TeXWorks (both in stability and comfort for big project), I want to switch to TeXnicCenter.

I followed the instructions of http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TeXnicCenter

and wantet to test it. With a simple

\starttext
\input knuth
\stoptext

it works (up to problems with Sumatra PDF, the invers search does not work, the instruction of the wiki are maybe outdated, but that is a topic for another thread...).

But if I take a bit more complicated document, it totally fails. Here is my testdocument, which compiles fine in TeXWorks:

%Testfile ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
\definefont[amiri][name:arial*arabic at 35 pt]

\starttext
{\setupalign[r2l]\amiri
اللّـهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد
}
\stoptext
%++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

(Everybody should be able to compile this with the font arial for arabic.)

The compiling fails and this is the log (very long, sorry...):

you are using mkii and truetype font. Are you sure ?
Maybe you want to use mkiv and texcniccenter is not configured for it.
