Using \loggingall near the error is better, but of course it means that you know more or less where it happens. -- luigi --001a1141da8e812b9e052927d33e Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Earlier I posted the following error:

A document that runs fine under
=C2=A0 =C2=A0ConTeXt =C2=A0ver: 2015.10.09 21:28 MKIV beta = =C2=A0fmt: 2015.10.11 =C2=A0int: english/english
suddenly doesn't under
=C2=A0 ConTeXt =C2=A0ver: 2015.12.22 10:50 MKIV beta =C2= =A0fmt: 2015.12.27 =C2=A0int: english/english
mtx-context =C2=A0 =C2=A0 | fatal error: no return code, m= essage: luatex: execution interrupted

At first I tho= ught this was due to a new version of ConTeXt. A mistake, it now seems. I e= ncounter the same error in an earlier version. It seems therefore a problem= already present in either LuaTeX or ConTeXt.

The error must be= related to the placement of floats witness the following fact, typesetting= the same document with only a difference in float-placement:
<= div>
No error:=C2=A0\startplacetable[location=3Dhere,reference=3Dtab:b= eaufort,title=3DBeaufort tabel]
Err= or: \startplacetable[location=3Dpage,reference=3Dtab:beaufort,title=3DBeauf= ort tabel]

A further observation: the item placed is nearly filli= ng the page. Making the item somewhat smaller avoids the error, even if its= the only item on the page.

I did not succeed to compose a minima= l example, in my experience the occurrence of the error seems too unpredict= able. The actual project is far to complex and too big to be of use for deb= ugging.

I sincerely hope someone can solve this. The error brings= to mind a similar problem experienced years earlier. It then was a problem= of a null object in the pdf-section, if my memory is correct and I think T= aco has solved that.

hard to say without an example.
\loggingall can he= lp, but it can generate a huge amount of data.
Using =C2=A0\loggi= ngall near the error is better, but of course it means that you know more o= r less where it happens.
