You are right, of course I want to use mkiv. But how to configure
texniccenter for it? In the instructions of the wiki I did not see any
different ways to configure it for mkii or mkiv.

just open cmd.exe, cd where your mkiv is,
call setuptex.bat
and then context --help

as I am a bit irritated of the limitations of TeXWorks (both in
stability and comfort for big project), I want to switch to TeXnicCenter.
I followed the instructions of http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TeXnicCenter
and wantet to test it. With a simple
\starttext
\input knuth
\stoptext
it works (up to problems with Sumatra PDF, the invers search does not
work, the instruction of the wiki are maybe outdated, but that is a
topic for another thread...).
But if I take a bit more complicated document, it totally fails. Here is
my testdocument, which compiles fine in TeXWorks:
