Your example is not complete. But with
\starttext
\startitemize
[R,fit]
[itemalign=flushright,
stopper={ --- }]
\dorecurse{5}{\startitem blablabla \stopitem}
\stopitemize
\stoptext
I do get the attached pdf file. Looks OK to me.
