Yes, in texmf-local/web2c

Only mtxrun --generate

But even after now also running context --make,
when compiling the mwe, lmtx throws:
tex error       > tex error on line 540005 in file ./mwe.tex: TeX capacity
exceeded, sorry [node memory size=50000000]
