Thank you very much for the advice on configuring AUCTeX t= o compile context files.

Inserting the following snippet= in my .emacs (emacs configuration) file worked. =A0

--8<--------= -------cut here---------------start------------->8---
(eval-after-loa= d 'tex
= =A0 '(add-t= o-list
=A0 =A0 =A0 = 9;TeX-command-list
=A0 =A0= =A0 '("ConTeXt" "context --nonstopmode %t"<= br style=3D"font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"> =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0= TeX-run-TeX nil (context-mode) :help "Run ConTeXt")))
--8<---------------cut here------= ---------end--------------->8---

This fix is imperfect be= cause even though context runs properly, AUCTeX reports "ConTeX= t: problems after [0] pages"

AUCTeX doesn't believe that the file has been compi= led and C-c C-c offers to run context again. It is necessary to select &quo= t;View"=A0

Some googling suggests that the re= turn codes from context are not properly interpreted by AUCTeX. =A0I'm = not sure if this is a context non-standardization or an AUCTeX problem. =A0= thoughts?

Best,
Michael
