Hi,
Using ##1 instead of \recurselevel makes = it work in this specific case if you want a quick and dirty solution. It se= ems to be a thing with nesting, as using #1 complains. I'd prefer the s= olutions as shown by Aditya: constructing tables via Lua, etc.

Jairo

Hi,

I tried to make a table using \dorecurse or \doloop as in the example.
There is no error but \recurselevel is not increased, all are 0 in= the first example and only two rows are created with the \recurselevel 0 a= nd 2 only in the second example.

Does the tabulate= cause the error?
What is wrong in this MWE?

Hi,

I'm trying to typeset a parallel text = that should appear in columns. The
sources are XML, and there I have to= use tables for this. So, I thought
the easiest way is to use extreme t= ables for this:

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

\dorecurse{3}{\input knuth}
\startxtable[split=3Dyes,frame=3Doff]
\startxrow
\startxcell Te= xt \stopxcell
\startxcell =C3=9Cbersetzung \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\s= tartxrow
\startxcell \input ward \stopxcell
\startxcell \input tufte = \stopxcell
\stopxrow
\stopxtable

\stoptext
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

However= , as it turns out, split only seems to mean that the table is
split bet= ween rows, individual rows stay on the same page.

Is there a better = approach? I've found the page-streams, but that seems
to be too muc= h...

Best,
Denis

Access by gl= yph index with \tochar{i:19} works well for both MKIV and

Dear Hans,

Thank you for working on this. I have tried vers= ion 2020.09.20: Unicode
input works for the "Private Use Area"= Unicodes reported in
\ShowCompleteFont. Such Unicodes are, however, not= desirable. Moreover, in
MKIV, a Unicode U+2713 (Check Mark) in the inpu= t did produce the
ZapfDingbats check, e.g. as follows:

\definefon= tsynonym[ZapfDingbats][file:ZapfDingbats][features=3Ddingbats]
\definefo= nt[zapfdingbats][ZapfDingbats]
\starttext
{\zapfdingbats =E2=9C=93}\definedfont[name:ZapfDingbats]=E2=9C=93
\stoptext

I still get = no check mark in the output PDF and a log message "char =E2=9C=93
(= U+02713) in font 'ZapfDingbats-4' with id 8: missing". Am I us= ing the font
wrongly?
(This has not a high priority for me, because I= have the unified access by
glyph index.)

Hi,

I wish to use the Nimbus fonts, but since= I didn't know which Math fonts is best adapted to this family, I tried= several fonts such as Stix Math, TeX Gyre Math, and so on, but doing this = the math-italic does not appear in these fonts: does this mean that I have = to set explicitely math-italic in definefontfamily?
