You can in principle convert the resulting PDF to PostScript. DVI doesn't even support OpenType fonts and ConTeXt MKIV doesn't really support the old TFM fonts any longer. As Hans already asked: what do you need the DVI format for? While it is not *technically* impossible to implement it, it is certainly a lot of "wasted" effort for very little or no gain. A lot more useful would be to avoid the need for DVI on the other side.
