Apologies for the double email.=C2=A0

I raised=C2=A0just after sending the previous one that=C2=A0using= =C2=A0the =E2=80=98proper=E2=80=99 utf-8 hyphen character (0x2010) instead of= 0x002d solves the=C2=A0issue.=C2=A0
I'd be interested to hear if someone=C2=A0has an easier-to-type solution,=C2=A0though.

Le=C2=A0jeu. 7 nov. 2024 =C3= =A0=C2=A022:35, Florent Michel <florent.m42@gmail.com> a =C3=A9crit=C2=A0:
Hello,

Is there a way to preserve hyphenated=C2=A0words in the html export?
When exporting a document with ConTeXt, hyphens in the middle of words seem to be replaced by soft hyphens,=C2=A0which are not displayed by my web browser.

Minimal example:=C2=A0

\setupbackend[export=3Dyes]
\starttext
co-worker
\stoptext

The resulting .html file contains:
<div>
co=C2=ADworker</div>

(There is apparently a soft hyphen between =E2=80=98co=E2=80= =99 and =E2=80=98worker=E2=80=99. The pdf seems to render correctly.)=

Cheers,
Florent
If you use \setupbackend[export=3Dyes,hyphe= n=3Dno] you will get a hard hyphen (hex 2D) where you show a soft hyphen (hex AD). Whether that addresses your larger document I cannot say, but it solves the problem for your example. See <https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setupexport>.
