Hans,
This is very good point. Is it an exception for start/start/combination or
a more general difference? In fact, what are the differences between \X{y}
and \startX y\stopX? A while back I ran into some weird issues and I
figured that the latter inserts an \endgraf or something like that in the
end. Is that right?
