Hello,

I have pdfs containing small musical pieces, created with lilypond. To include them in my document, I must crop each pdf manually each time it is recreated.

Is there a way to crop pdf page via \externalfigure options? (All the switches listed at TeXshow seem to scale an image, not to crop.)

Best regards,
Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky

It doesn't always seem to work for me (with various Windows-created
pdfs), but you can try this (example from texshow-web under
\externalfigure):

\externalfigure[whatever.pdf][size=artbox]

If I read contextgarden right, you also have the options

trimbox
cropbox
bleedbox

while "mediabox" is the default.

Hope this helps,

Mari

Hi,
actually my use of LilyPond with ConTeXt is based on creating the
lily file, rendering in pdf, create a ConTeXt file
inserting MetaPost and the placing/cropping the figure with MP.

I did this interview where I just mentioned that I read Foucault. Who
doesn't in university, right? I was in this strip club giving this
guy a lap dance and all he wanted to do was to discuss Foucault with
me. Well, I can stand naked and do my little dance, or I can discuss
Foucault, but not at the same time; too much information.
