Not sure whether this is a ligature problem or a hyphenation problem or both!
In the following MWE, the line breaks at the hyphen following "Diffe", but one
of the f's is lost so the PDF shows "Dife-".

Smaller MWE - it's not hyphenation:

I can confirm that this is also an issue for me with LMTX-20210819;
"off" is typeset as "of". Is this an problem with ligatures?

if you're in a hurry you can patch font-ots.lmt, line 922
ligature = ligature.ligature
else
ligature = ligature.ligature
end
and remake the format
