\ifintable but this is not available for tabulate, another alternative is to use \iftrialtypesetting

In this case you have to expand the whole table before it’s processed, e.g.

\bTABLE
  \bTR
    \expanded{\bTD ... \eTD}
  \eTR
\eTABLE
