Hi Hans,
I've found the small problem (but I did not trace it fully, so the
sugesstions could be false...) -- if one uses
\startfiguretext...\stopfiguretext and the figure oversizes criterium
defined in \setupfloat[figure][criterium=...] the float placement mechanism
probably goes besides \sometextfloat macro so \dostopfloattext macro used in
\stopfiguretext stays undefined and error appears.
I've solved this with omitting criterium or with self-defining empty
\dostopfloattext.
