ANNOUNCING:

    e-Omega 3.14159--1.15--2.1, Release Candidate 1

e-Omega 3.14159--1.15--2.1 is now released to the public in its
second release candidate version.

Pre-built binaries are currently available for the MiKTeX
distribution (see www.miktex.org) and the fpTeX distribution (see
ftp://ftp.dante.de/pub/fptex/standalone/); the official sources are
currently available (via CVS) from the MiKTeX source tree.

e-Omega provides all the features available in Omega (except for the
SGML/XML handling) and all the features available in e-TeX (except
for its multidirectional TeX--XeT capabilities, which have been
abandoned in favour of the Omega ones).

This release fixes the most outstanding bug in the Omega 1.15 series
(the TRIP bug), which also affected the previous release (RC0) of e-
Omega. Given that RC0 has already been tested (successfully) in
production-use environments, it is my belief that this version should
be quite ready for widespread use. My opinion could be strongly
biased, though, so you are all encouraged at proving me (right or
wrong).
