Ok, I do what you said. I send you the lang-ita.tex file. I hope is correct.

But I have several questions:
1. What are patterns? I don't find lang-xxx.pat in the \tex\context\base
directory.
2. After defining the language, how can I use it? Saying \language[romanian]
makes a warning: "language romanian not defined"
