Is there a equivalent to \page for columns?
(like \newcolumn or only \column)

\column % [without args]

in screen mode

\screen % [with args]

in a next version there will be an alternative multi column format with has
a better \column command [with args], with spanning page areas, more
extensive float controle, multiple column formats, etc, but this will first
be tested in depth by taco cum suis in journal typesetting.

Hello!

I browsed the history of NTG Context I found this:

This would be nice, becaused I tried to typeset a magazine for a high school
and after some time of TeX hacking I droped TeX (because of it's lack in
multiple columns, spanning page areas etc.) So, if ConTeXt will have such a
thing, then it will be GGGRRRREEEEAAAAT. IMHO.

Question is, however, when.

oh, it already looks kind of great -)

I have to clean up some code and finish footnote support so i guess that in
a couple of weeks i have it running here. When is passes my tests, it will
go into the core.

I hope it will exists however a nice manual, or at least an addendum (that
is an add on) to the manual.

If you have a recent version, you may try:

\setupcolumns[direction=left]

Hi Hans!

Another feature we will need for Farsi and other right-to-left languages
will be to have a right-to-left arrangement of columns. I think that in the
moment it is not possible to do this by "startcolumns".
