Just the same example as before, here without \definesynonyms:
\setupinteraction[state=start]
\setupinteractionscreen[option=bookmark]
\placebookmarks[section]
\starttext
\section{some text} % no bookmark
\stoptext
ConTeXt version is now 2004.6.16
