Isn't there a possibility to use ec-encoding for the main-font, and for some exceptions such as \textmu another encoding? What happens with the following LaTeX-example? \documentclass{article} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}% Does "T1" mean the same as "ec" ? \usepackage{lmodern} \usepackage{textcomp} \begin{document} Textmu: \textmu \end{document} Cheers, Peter -- http://pmrb.free.fr/contact/
