Hi,
I'd like to position a text on a absolute coordinate on a page. \position
seems to do only a position relative to the current position. What's the
way to proceed?

seesms like you are in need of layers:
\definelayer[tobias]
\defineoverlay[tobias][\composedlayer{tobias}]
\setupbackgrounds[page][background=tobias]

\input tufte
