2 ideas:
- With \setuptyping[file][option=TEX] the global setting is only for
\typefile or \typebuffer.
- Use grouping, for example:
\def\myTypeBuffer#1{\bgroup \setuptyping[...] \typebuffer[#1] \egroup}
