There is no interface yet, but you can set math attributes by
either explicitly setting them

\appendtoks
   \setmathattribute{regular}{tf}
\to \everymathematics

or by redefining mathdefault

\unexpanded\def\mathdefault   {\setmathattribute{regular}{tf}}
