How can one set the size of a \startMPpage..\stopMPpage generated picture. For example forcing its dimensions to 5X4cm. Or better still, derived from variables in the code.

Add something like
setbounds currentpicture to (fullsquare xyscaled (5cm,4cm)) ;
at the end of the MP code.
