\inmframed (and by extension \definemathframed[...][location=low,...])
does not get the right vertical space. For example,

\starttext
\startformula
   \ln (1+x) = \inmframed{x - {\frac {x^2}{2}}} + \frac{x^3}{3}-\cdots.
\stopformula
\stoptext

Note that the two fractions do not align at the horizontal bar.

Is it possible for all expressions to be aligned at the math axis?
Aditya

Interesting use of \xypos to get the correct positioning. However, since
\mframed comes inside the \hbox, this mechanism does not inherit the
mathstyle:

\startformula
   \sum_{i=1}^5 f_i(x)
   \mcframed{\sum_{i=1}^5 f_i(x)}
   \mframed[location=low]{\sum_{i=1}^5 f_i(x)}
\stopformula

Should this replace the current mathframed mechanism?

Aditya
