Hi Christopher,

using the commands you propose the PDF documents that are generated 
contain the NimbusRomNo9L or NimbusSansL fonts and not Times-Roman or 
Helvetica!

I want to use Helvetica because I configured PDFTeX in such a way that 
the 14 PDF base fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) are not embedded.
