As root I ran texexec --make --all Following Thomas A. Schmitz posting I checked if the file cont-nl.fmt was in /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/web2c. This was not the case. Instead the generated file cont-nl-fmt was located in /Users/myadministratorname. What I did was copying the file to /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/web2c and now it works. Thank you all very much for your help. Robert -- Robert Kroon E-mail: robert@kroontevelde.demon.nl **** RISC OS computers - designed to serve ****
