Hello,

a bit surprisingly no response so far.

Does it mean that no such a function exists?

If so, are there any Lua tables which provide list of current searching paths and list of image extensions which ConTeXt handles? (In both cases: in the place of use, as e.g. list of paths may change during use of \(setup)externalfigure(s) at various places in the source document.)

Joseph mentioned 'figures.path' for paths;
is there something similar for valid image extensions (like figures.extensions')?

If not, would it be possible to provide something like this?

- Just to explain: I need to perform some ops before inserting an image via \externalfigure. And I would need to be able to locate the file to be inserted, even when the picture is inserted by just a file name (with no path) with path specified before by \setupexternalfigures.

Best regards,

Lukas
