\frac, \eqalign and \usemodule[newmat]

\frac, \eqalign and \usemodule[newmat]

I have encountered a problem when using \fac, \eqalign and
\usemodule[newmat] at the same time. I like the newmat module since it
gives me the \QED command, but when using \frac inside \eqalign I get
an error I cannot understand.
