For example, I'd like to transform something like this: P1. All men are mortal. P2. Socrates is a man. C. Socrates is mortal. into an itemized list like this: \begin{itemize} \item[P1] All men are mortal. \item[P2] Socrates is a man. \item[C] Scorates is mortal. \end{itemize} The best solution I've come up with is to format the list as a definition list, convert it to LaTeX, and replace the definition environment with the itemize environment. I suppose I could instead redefine the definition list environment, but that seems a bit heavy-handed. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pandoc-discuss" group. Does anyone have a filter or some other trick for producin= g lists with custom markers? For example, I'd like to transform somethi= ng like this:

P1. =C2=A0All men are mortal.
P2= . Socrates is a man.
C. =C2=A0Socrates is mortal.

<= /div>
into an itemized list like this:

\begin{= itemize}
\item[P1]
All men are mortal.
\item[= P2]
Socrates is a man.
\item[C]
Scorates is m= ortal.
\end{itemize}

The best solution I= 've come up with is to format the list as a definition list, convert it= to LaTeX, and replace the definition environment with the itemize environm= ent. I suppose I could instead redefine the definition list environment, bu= t that seems a bit heavy-handed.
