Also note that this works with the org reader:

\(
\newcommand{\mymacro}{This is my macro}
\mymacro \) -- works and exports mathml

It just doesn’t “save” between math environments

Hi,

When using the markdown reader and converting to html with --mathml, one can write:

\newcommand{\mymacro}{This is my macro}

\(\mymacro\) -- works and exports mathml

But with the org reader, the above file fails (“Could not convert TeX math…”). Is something like this supported, or is it possible to write a filter to support it? Should this be a feature request?
