Unable to set semibold font for bold fonts in reference.docx

Dear Folks,

I have been trying to set the Source Serif Pro bold font weight to use the 
Semibold font weight instead, in my reference.docx file.

When I select the semibold font for a heading for example the Bold setting 
is automatically enabled when I modify the style. However, I find that 
although the font setting shows semibold the font weight being chosen by 
Word is Bold.

I have attached my reference.docx for testing purposes would appreciate any 
ways to workaround this issue.

I downloaded the Source Serif Pro from Google Fonts and I am using Word for 
Mac.
