Hello,

I have one issue left in a document I am working on, and while I have used this syntax before this time it isn't working correctly.

In my markdown file I have:

"Move to the `src/js/views` folder."

When I convert the markdown to docx format, I see:

"Move to the `src/js/views` folder."

Why didn't pandoc convert the `src/js/views` into src/js/views in the font for code instead of keeping the ` symbols?

This is converted fine for me in Linux with pandoc-2.7.3 (output in PNG
format attached).

Which pandoc version and OS are you using?

Works fine for me. Could it be that you've got a different-
but similar looking character in place of one of the `s?

John,

I have retyped the line several times and it still has problems. I will try rewriting it again to see if that clears things up. I have been having other odd situations where headings are not being rendered properly and the # signs are being included in the docx format, but deleting the entire line and rewriting it has fixed that problem so maybe I should try that with this line as well.

Donald,

are you sure (from what you explain) that your editor is not modifying
you source files? I mean, something like typographic quotes and
replacing ` with ‘.

Does it happen to you when you convert to ePub or to HTML?

Pablo
