Is there a way to have line breaks instead of paragraph breaks in docx output lists?

If I export markdown to docx, lists show in the output docx as:

1. One

2. Two

3. Three

I would like them to show like this:

1. One
2. Two
3. Three

Is there any way to achieve this?

Pandoc will produce less space between items if your list is
"tight" in the input, with no blank lines between the items:

1. one
2. two
3. three

If that is still too much space, you may be able to adjust
in styles (see documentation on --reference-docx).

Also be sure you're using up-to-date pandoc.
