wiki latex to flat wiki

Hello!

I am using LaTeX with the wiki.sty package. I'd like to know how to prevent 
Pandoc from converting the wiki markup ''italics'' or '''boldface''' into 
”utf8” ”’quotes”’ when converting my latex file to wiki markup, for further 
processing.

--As for the rest, it is mine.

You need to either leave out the `-S` (or `--smart`) option, or add in the 
`--no-tex-ligatures` option on the command line, I think.  (I'm guessing 
the latter.)

I checked that, but according to the manual these directives work for 
convernting *to* LaTeX, not *from* it.

Correct. Unfortunately `--smart` is enabled by default for
LaTeX input, and there's no way to disable it.

You could try preprocessing the input with something that
substitutes \' for '.  That may or may not work - it depends
on whether you've got other 's that need to stay unchanged.

OK. Thanks.

I don't know if a feature request is in order. I mean: if you require UTF-8 
as input, I see no reason to encourage the use of TeX ligatures anymore.

Yes, please go ahead and submit a feature request on the
tracker.  It is bad that there's no way to disable `--smart`
in LaTeX.
