I usually organize my LaTeX documents in subfiles using the LaTeX {subfile}
package so that each subfile can idividually be compiled.

I expect that pandoc merily ignores any content that does not add layout
information.

Therefore my question is:
does pandoc recognize subfiles of a LaTeX document automatically or do I
have to pass all the subfiles in correct order at the command line?
If the latter: will it ignore the additional content added for {subfile}
package to work?

bye
TPD

pandoc doesn't know anything about the subfile package.
