I have noticed that the LaTeX writer includes a `\tightlist` in one item lists, which includes numbered example lists. (A one item list is a bit odd, but a one item numbered example list isn't.) It seems to me that this doesn't do anything because there is just one item. I wonder whether it would be better not to have it? I'm asking because I sometimes want to write LaTeX that can be used by a journal class that doesn't define `\tightlist` and even if I always write my multi-item lists as loose I still get some `\tightlist` commands.
