You can add extra line spacing between the logo and the title: title: | | ![ ](WGLogo.png) | | | Your Title If you could use the titling package, then you could also move the title wherever you wanted, e.g. \setlength{\droptitle}{-8em} to take it up. Not sure why you can't get the wallpaper or titling packages to work, maybe something to do with calling pandoc with makfile - try running pandoc directly as suggested above.
