nested lists?

nested lists?

Hi there,

sorry for the basic question, but I’m not able to see what I’m doing
wrong with the following code, which is supposed to be two nested lists:

1. Primero.

    * Un punto.

1. Segundo.

    * Otro punto.

Sorry, but I don’t know what I’m missing.

Hi Pablo,

I'd suggest following the 4-space rule: always have your content (not
considering the list markers) start at column numbers which are a
multiple of 4. See examples at
http://www.unexpected-vortices.com/sw/gouda/quick-markdown-example.html
.

So, for your list above, that would be:

two nested lists:

 1. Primero.

      * Un punto.

 2. Segundo.

      * Otro punto.

Many thanks for your reply, John.

I thought I was following the four-space ruling on my sample, but I
think that Github doesn’t seem to allow nested lists.

At least, it doesn’t work with your sample either.

Looks like a bug in github's markdown renderer:
