It should work the same as before, only instead of doing '--filter pandoc-citeproc' you'll use '--citeproc'. You won't need pandoc-citeproc at all with the new pandoc.

I have a lua filter that runs _after_ pandoc-citeproc (it does some hyperlink processing). Will this be possible with the new library?

Yes, just use the `--citeproc` switch before your filter.
