Subject: latex to rst

Starting with the following latex code
\begin{tabular}{cc}
1 & 2 \\
3 & 4
\end{tabular}
and running
pandoc -f latex -t rst myfile.tex
then I receive
= =
1 2
3 4
= =
I'm using V2.5 of pandoc. In previous versions I would have received
+-|-+
|1|2|
|3|4|
+-|-+
Is there a way I can receive the 'old' output?
Thanks very much for your time
Chris
