Two remarks:
  1. That is a pitty: multimarkdown has a perfectly legal (ok, depending on one's point of view) syntax for it (see: this topic in the multimarkdown forum). Shouldn't pandoc support this syntax?
  2. Maybe I don't understand this, however in my opinion grid or multiline table don't provide the wrap; the user has to do the wrapping himself. These type of tables subsequently accept the wrapped layout. That is a pitty as well because the wrapping-problem is pushed to the user realm as opposed to the software realm. I hope that I have misunderstood the use and syntax of grid and multiline tables??
