If the issue is with a firewall, why think there's a problem with pandoc? If there is reason to think there's a problem with pandoc, can you provide an example that we can actually test with, including the needed input files? I suppose my posting this is because browswers have no problem getting the page? I thought perhaps that one could make pandoc look like a chrome browser?
