Image attribution in beamer

Image attribution in beamer

I'd like to (sometimes) include image attributions in a beamer presentation 
written in markdown that already has image captions. Ideally the 
attribution would be in a smaller font and below the caption. The markdown 
now looks like this:

![Image Caption](link/to/image.jpg)

Is anyone doing this already or have any suggestions on the best way to do 
it?
