Are you referring to https://pandoc.org/filters.html when talking about
the docs? I assumed that could be a good place to start.

Personally, I started by using Haskell to solve Project Euler exercises
and then doing a lot(!) of copy'n'paste dabbling. Maybe I'm not the best
person to ask.
