By the way, would it be realistic to give ourselves a deadline? It seems great to align the release of a pandoc logo with the release of pandoc 2.0.

And it's common for a logo to evolve over time, so if there's any design stand out and we want to work further on it, we could draft a version that is at least publishable first (and perfect it over time).

There's a lot of proposals already. I don't know what's the best way to choose one (or if there's need to have some more). Should we just let @jgm choose one, or should we vote?
