Hello, all
I can't seem to localize the title of the table of
contents in DOCX. I have tried:
-V lang=fr-FR
-V lang=de-DE
-V lang=ru-RU
-V lang=abra-cadabra
-- all to no avail. My TOC is stilled titled "Table
of Contents", and Pandoc reports no errors. What am
I doing wrong?

Please, do not forward replies to the list to my e-mail.

You can change the title by using `toc-title` in the metadata of the doc...
---
toc-title: "Whatever you want"

Thank you. I was confused by the various ways to set
a variable:
1. command-line parameter,
2. normal metedata (%),
3. YAML metedata.

In this case only command line and YAML will work. YAML is probably
preferable, keeping it fairly permanent in the document or in a defaults
file, so that you don't need to remember to type it on the command line
every time.

Yes, a global setting stored in an external file is
the better approach. But, as I wrote above, I failed
to set the toc title on the command line:
-V toc-title=test didn't work for me. How can one do
it?
By the way, the documentation says the value of a
variable is specified after an eqality sign with the
short option and after a colon with the long one:
-V KEY[=VAL], --variable=KEY[:VAL]
yet an example in section "Styling the slides" uses
a colon after the short option:
-V theme:Warsaw
