A thought. Might a tutorial be written based on it? I might try, if it is OK with John. The video might be just a bit hard to follow for someone who isn't good at following spoken English. Please don't get me wrong. It is better than much other YouTube content.
I especially appreciate the points about distracting command words, which are even more distracting in non-English documents in the "Appealing things about Markdown" section. They are the main reason why I use Markdown—Pandoc rather than LaTeX directly. The quote from Mr. Thompson should be on the Pandoc home page!
