How can I create an ePub book whose pages are single (scanned) images only?

I have tried with TeX:

\documentclass{report}

\title{Ars Conjectandi}
\author{Jacobi Bernouilli}

\usepackage{pdfpages}

\begin{document}

\includepdf{cover.png}
\includepdf{img_0005.png}
\includepdf{img_0013.png}
....
\end{document}

to no avail.

Then with MD:

-------
% Ars Conjectandi
% Jacob Bernoulli

![Page](cover.png)
![Page](img_0005.png)
![Page](img_0013.png)
![Page](img_0018.png)

but I get weird display of 4 images per page. Is it possible to have this
much control with MD only?

Johny
