is it possible to have clickable citation links?

That:

becomes this:

If I understand you correctly, back-links would be 1:n wouldn't they, and
therefore more challenging (how would they be represented?).

I'm not aware of any support for back-links, but they could (in theory) be
added in a lua filter that runs after citeproc. The outline below could be
expanded to do this. Note that, because the references section might be
anywhere in the document, you'd need two passes: one to collect the
citations and the other to insert the back-links.

Biblatex has support for backlinks so that might serve as an example. Biblatex adds links to the pages where a given reference was cited, so the whole things looks a bit like an index. Obviously, that makes sense with page-centric output (PDF), but not so much if your target is HTML.

Unfortunately I don't get backlink neither with ConTeXt nor with HTML or 
EPUB.

This is my settings file:

--standalone

--lua-filter=../../control/default/div-context.lua
--top-level-division=chapter
--table-of-contents
--toc-depth=2

--lua-filter=../../control/default/backlinks.lua

I hope it is safe to use multiple calls to --lua-filter.

Wherever "if FORMAT == 'latex'" appears, you can add instructions for other formats as well. For instance:

Yes, but it should actually work out of the box even with context. I've got correct backlinks with LaTeX, ConTeXt and HTML.
